If it's not going to be driven on it would hold up great. If you're going to drive on it alot it will begin to settle and you will need to add more over time. It eventually builds up to make a great roadbed. I believe that's it. I'm in Kentucky and the county has a lot of limestone. The fill is free. The $150 is just the haul and dump fee.

I agree with everything Marty said. For my part, I would suggest getting some crushed limestone on that driveway and really pack it in. My driveway is only 450' long, but it got started on a pure limestone dust bed. Trucks eventually worked that in and then we added a 50:50 dust:3/4" gravel a couple of times.
